Comments: I was very touched by your story and I am very sorry for your loss.
My only sibling, Donna, came to visit me in May of this year. She and her husband went to a park to see a waterfall. While she was at the waterfall sightseeing a landslide took place. Boulders rained down upon everyone near the base of the waterfall. Donna and 7 others did not survive. Anguish, despair. Her death haunts me. I feel as if I lost half of me.

but having lost a grand-niece (7), grand-nephew (3), and
nephew (17-who lost his life trying to save his young
cousins from a tragic fire on 12/5/98) is hard enough to bear.
We are trying to help our beloved niece (mother of the two
young angels) & sister (mother of the 17-year-old hero who

Comments: Today I lost my best friend, she was terminally ill and although I new the end was near, nothing prepared me for how I felt when I received the call at work today. Tonight I was looking for articles and poems on grief and came apon your story. I am still wiping away the tears, I can't begin to imagine the grief your whole family has had to deal with. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones. It is a comfort to know your grandbabies are with you and that they have you help them through this. Comments: I truly know how you and yours feel. Nov.6,1994 was the day our lives changed. Our two sons Derek and Ryan were killed in a caar crash. Nothing prepares you for this and then nothing prepares you to know how to help someone else. I agree that people talking about them helps. They were real , they did exist, they still exist. Derek was 17,a senior, a lifeguard, and a diver. Ryan was 15 and loved by all he never met a stranger. Our boys are greatly missed as I know yours are. If you'd like to chat thaat would be fine. Comments: I am so sorry about what had happened! I am 18 now and I was involved in an accident in February in which I was very lucky to come out alive, and even luckier to be unharmed. Well I don't think it was luck I think God did not allow anything to happen to me. Comments: I was just looking at Zane and Mazey's fun page and almost an hour later I am still here. I was emotionally drained reading your tragic story. I think that your son Ryan and nephew Scott will be incredibly proud of you both and so much at peace to know that his beloved children are been raised by such sincere and loving parents.
I also wanted to say that I am a Physiotherapist and many years ago I worked at Sheffield Childrens Hospital and I can still clearly remember cases of different severity of Arthrogryphosis so I was very interested to read the articles on your site. This is a beautiful page and a couple of beautiful boys. I am a mother of 2 boys 23 & 25.... They are also blonde & I can relate to how you feel. What a loss, but I also know no one ever really dies, which always makes me feel better when I read these pages ... I can feel them alive even as I write this.... I guess it is knowing that which makes it easier for me whenever a friend passes over.... one part of me is sad & crying, and I can feel them there comforting me & can't ignore that I feel them & know they are there & get the message they have for me that they are doing fine & not to cry.... I am speaking mainly of a very good friend who passed over this year.

Anyway, my love iswith you & I appreciated your story... what a shock. They are beautiful & these pages are so very very well done. Thanks for sharing your deep beautiful story.

I am also a grandma - 50 but look in my 30's everyone says - they think I'm her mom, not grandma.... that's always fun for me when they say that.... I love her more than anything. I pray your grandchildren are blessed now & forever in every way.

I wish no one ever invented alcohol & that it was not an acceptable drink in this society. It is just poison.... why this society makes it 'cool' or 'fun' to go poison oneself in the sake of 'fun' I don't know.... but perhaps our next generations can be wiser than the society and have fun in other ways. I feel the same way about cigarettes.... these two 'legal drugs' have caused more pain & suffering & deaths than any war... and daily we all have to smell that stuff whether we like it or not (even if just a little sniff - it always makes me hold my breath).

If there is anything I can do to help, I will.

boys. I pray they both knew Jesus. I will pray for you and your family. God will strengthen you, love you, and show
His loving mercy on you.

You see, I know the pain your feeling. My precious daughter-in-law was killed by a drunk driver on 8-16-98. You may
be thinking, but she was only your daughter-in-law, these were our children, the pain is different. No. If you had known
Laurie, you'd understand. She was my daughter-in-law, yes, but she was much much more. She was my child. In
my heart, she was mine. I loved her as my own. She was also my friend. I still cry at the mention of her name---not
as much as I did, but I still cry. My life has an empty space that no one will ever fill. It belongs to Laurie. But I know
where Laurie is. I know how much she loved our Savior. Her life showed that. Knowing where she is brings comfort.

I pray God's love and peace be with you. He will comfort you.

Comments: reading your story made the memories flood the memories of the day in jan 1987 my 23 year old daughter died leaving behing 2 girls ages 2 and 4, that was 13 years ago i thought i'd die too when she died, but then 1 year after she died my son informed he diagnosed H.I.V. and he died 6years later in 1993 the grief never really goes away.

Comments: March 14, 1998. The day our son Tyler, died in a car accident one minute from our house. I heard the sirens.
Tyler was 21 years old also. Our stories are so much the same and I can feel what you feel. So much to deal with, so many sources of pain. We would have loved to have Tyler's child to raise. It is so hard on all of you and for your grandchildren, but they are such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your story. I know both of the boys will always be remembered by so many. Comments: I was so happy to find your site, the loss of our little Angel was so devastating, as all our losses were. You never think about it happening to you until it does, and to lose a 2 year old granddaughter, one week after her second birthday was probably the worst nightmare of my life. I am raising 3 of my other grandchildren and have become double paranoid since we lost little Autumn, I know I am too overprotective but nothing can ever change that! Thank you for being there in my time of sorrow.

Comments: My heart goes out to you.I lost a 4 year old daughter last
year.Her father kidnapped her and there was an accident.He had been drinking. They were driving through a
forest and got a flat tire.He went to get help but he didnt
want her to run away, so he tied her to a tree.when he was
walking to go find a gas station he got picked up and they drove him to the nearest gas station (25 miles).The next morning he couldnt remember where he left her so he decided it wasnt worth contacting the police.So he just left her there,tied to a tree.That was a year ago,and I still hate him.I know everyone says I shouldnt hate him,but I do.I cant help it.Our storys may not be that similar but we both lost our baby's, and I know how you feel. If I would have looked harder,or not have been working that day, my Cleo would still be with me.I just want you to know that you are not alone.
